The Lien Legacy Fellowship is centred around an exchange programme resulting in a research project such as a government, corporate or not-for-profit initiative in a specified area of interest.
The programme is highly flexible and is customised with regard to topic, design and duration to suit each individual. Fellows will identify, propose and develop their research topic and are encouraged to actively participate in the design of their programme – normally an eclectic mix of networking, mentoring, seminars and coursework – together with their mentor.
Lasting approximately three months, the programme can be spread out over the course of a year to fit in with each Fellow's objectives and availability. Research will primarily be conducted in Singapore and China. If appropriate, it can be extended to other countries.
To kick off the programme each year, Fellows will attend a common induction course in the following:
- Government & Public Administration and Business Policy
- Leadership
- Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Enterprise
- Sustainable Social and Cultural Development
A key component of the Fellowship is the opportunity to meet current and past Fellows. Each programme will begin and end with a gathering of all Fellows to facilitate cross-fertilisation of ideas and lay the foundation for life-long, cross-border bonding.
The language of instruction is either Chinese or English.
